BugHerd MCP: triage client feedback from your AI app

Your AI app can triage the client feedback that lands in BugHerd: read tasks, comment, update them and file new ones, while you review what's done. BugHerd's official MCP server signs in with your BugHerd account, no API key. ContextGate connects it to Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT, and a switch keeps project deletion away from your AI app.

Connect BugHerd to Claude Code, Cursor or ChatGPT

  1. 1Click Connect Bugherd free and sign in with your BugHerd account.
  2. 2Triage needs reading, commenting on and updating tasks. Switch off the riskier tools: deleting a project can't be undone, and adding guests, members or webhooks changes who and what can see your clients' feedback.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to list a client project's BugHerd tasks and draft a reply on one, then open Activity to see each call.

Feedback triage from Claude Code or Cursor

  • List the tasks on a project or assigned to a person, and read their attachments.
  • Comment on a task or update it as you work through client feedback.
  • File a new task with full details, or add a column to a project's workflow.
  • Pull up the active projects in your BugHerd account for a status report.

Guard client projects

  • Switch off project deletion; the tool is hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • Use a policy to warn before your AI app adds a guest or member to a project.
  • Activity keeps a record of every task update and comment, so you can review what your AI app did.
