Chainstack MCP: deploy and manage blockchain nodes from an AI app

Deploy and manage blockchain nodes across 70+ protocols from a chat. Chainstack's MCP server creates projects and nodes, sets IP and origin allowlists, searches the docs and requests testnet funds. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, where the irreversible delete tools can be switched off before anyone's AI app reaches for them.

  • Free
  • 20 example tools

Connect Chainstack to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Chainstack free. There's no sign-in, so its tools are ready at once.
  2. 2`delete_node`, `delete_project` and `delete_node_access_rule` can't be undone, and `set_node_access_rules_status` changes who can reach a node within seconds. Switch those off unless you want your AI app making that call.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to list your Chainstack nodes and their status, then open Activity to see the `list_nodes` call.

Node work you can do from Claude or Cursor

  • Check valid blockchain, cloud and network combinations with `get_deployment_options`, then deploy a node with `create_node`.
  • List nodes with their status and connection endpoints using `list_nodes`.
  • Add IP or origin allowlist rules to a Global node with `create_node_access_rule`.
  • Search Chainstack docs for RPC methods and code examples with `search_docs`, or check incidents with `get_platform_status`.
  • Request testnet funds from Chainstack's faucet.

Keep irreversible Chainstack calls in check

  • Switch off the three delete tools; they're hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • Use a policy to warn or block before an access-rule change limits which clients can reach a node.
  • Activity records each call, so a new node or a changed allowlist can be traced to the request behind it.

What you get with Chainstack and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use ChainstackClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Chainstack through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Chainstack tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
