Nodecraft MCP: run your game servers from Claude or ChatGPT

Start, stop and back up your Nodecraft game servers from a chat, and get at their files, console, players and settings too. ContextGate connects Nodecraft's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor through your Nodecraft login, and you decide which of those actions stay available, so a stray prompt can't take a server down while people are playing.

Bring your Nodecraft servers into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Nodecraft free and sign in with your Nodecraft account.
  2. 2Once connected you'll see every Nodecraft tool, all of them on. If players are often online, switch off the tools that stop servers or change files and settings, and keep the console, player and backup tools.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to back up one of your Nodecraft servers, then check Activity for the call.

Game server jobs for your AI app

  • Start or stop a Nodecraft game server by asking for it in a chat.
  • Take a backup before you change a server's settings.
  • Read the server console and see which players are on.
  • Work with server files without opening the Nodecraft panel.

Stop a prompt from stopping your server

  • Switch off the stop and file tools and your AI app can't use them; they're hidden and refused.
  • A policy can warn or block before a settings change goes through.
  • Activity keeps a record of every start, stop and backup an AI app asked for.

What you get with Nodecraft and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use NodecraftClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Nodecraft through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Nodecraft tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
