Pyth Pro MCP: live and historical price feeds in your AI app

Pyth Pro's MCP server gives your AI app real-time and historical price feeds for more than 500 crypto, equities, FX and commodities assets, from the latest price to OHLC candlestick bars. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor with no sign-in, and Activity shows which price calls each question triggered.

Bring Pyth Pro prices into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Pyth Pro free. There's no sign-in, so its tools are ready at once.
  2. 2All six tools read data, and every one is on. The price tools, such as `get_latest_price` and `get_historical_price`, ask for your own Pyth Pro access token; switch off any of the six your team won't use.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app for the latest bitcoin price from Pyth Pro, then open Activity to see the `get_symbols` and `get_latest_price` calls.

Price questions you can ask Claude or ChatGPT

  • List the available feeds with `get_symbols` before asking for a price.
  • Get the most recent real-time price for one or more feeds with `get_latest_price`, or the price at one past instant with `get_historical_price`.
  • Pull OHLC candlestick bars with `get_candlestick_data` for charting, technical analysis or backtesting.
  • See every price update in a window of up to 60 seconds with `get_price_range`, for example around a news event.

The price tools need your own Pyth Pro access token.

Control and records for Pyth Pro calls

  • Switch off any of the six tools; a switched-off tool is hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • Activity records each Pyth Pro call, so you can check which prices an answer was based on.
