Caspio MCP: put AI assistants to work on your Caspio data
Caspio's MCP server puts your Caspio data within reach of Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so you can bring any dataset into a chat without writing code against the Caspio API. You grant Caspio's permissions when you sign in. ContextGate adds its own layer on top: a switch for each tool, policies that can hide personal data in your records, and every query kept in Activity.

Getting Caspio into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect Caspio free and sign in with your Caspio account.
- 2The tools appear after you connect and every one starts on. If your AI app should read Caspio data but not change it, switch off the tools that add, edit or delete records.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app for a summary of this month's entries in one of your Caspio datasets, then open Activity to see the query.
Work with Caspio data from a chat
- Ask questions about any dataset you keep in Caspio, in plain language.
- Have Claude or ChatGPT summarize records without exporting them first.
- Skip writing code against the Caspio API for one-off questions.
Your Caspio data, your rules
- Caspio's own permissions still apply. On top of them, switch off any tool in ContextGate and it's hidden from AI apps and refused.
- A policy can hide names, emails or account numbers in Caspio records before your AI app sees them.
- Activity records every call to Caspio, so you can tell which data an AI app touched.
What you get with Caspio and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use CaspioClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Caspio through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Caspio tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
Caspio tools
Caspio's own MCP server shows its tools once you sign in. When you connect it, they are listed and synced in your workspace.
