Customerly MCP: contacts, conversations and help articles in chat

Work through Customerly contacts, conversations, companies, segments and knowledge base articles from your AI app. ContextGate connects Customerly's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so customer data goes through your workspace policies first and every change to a contact, segment or article is on record.

  4. 4Ask your AI app to summarize recent conversations with one company, then open Activity to see which calls it made.

Customer work your AI app can pick up

  • Find a contact and read their conversations before you reply.
  • Look up a company and the contacts that belong to it.
  • Build or check a segment of contacts for a follow-up.
  • Update a knowledge base article from questions customers keep asking.

Protect customer data in Customerly

  • A policy can hide customers' personal data, such as email addresses and phone numbers, from your AI app.
  • Switch off the editing tools and your AI app can read Customerly but not change it.
  • Activity records every Customerly call, so changes can be traced to the request that made them.

What you get with Customerly and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use CustomerlyClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Customerly through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Customerly tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
