DevCycle MCP: feature flags and targeting from your AI app
Look through your DevCycle feature flags from a chat: list projects, features and their targeting in each environment, check audiences, and create or update variables. ContextGate connects DevCycle's own MCP server, or its app connector, to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and the tool that permanently deletes a variable can be switched off.

Add DevCycle to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect DevCycle free and sign in with your DevCycle account.
- 2All tools are on once you connect. Deleting a DevCycle variable can't be undone, so switch that off, and switch off create and update too if flag changes should only come from your team.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app how a DevCycle feature is targeted in production, then open Activity to see the call.
Feature flag work in Claude or Cursor
- List projects and filter the features in each one.
- Inspect a feature's targeting configuration across all environments or just one.
- List and search audiences, including whether each one is in use.
- Create a typed variable and tie it to a feature, or update an existing variable.
- List environments without exposing SDK key values.
Protect production flags
- Switch off variable delete, create or update; your AI app can still read targeting and audiences.
- Add a policy that warns or blocks before a variable is changed.
- Activity keeps a record of every DevCycle call your team's AI apps make.
What you get with DevCycle and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use DevCycleClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach DevCycle through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any DevCycle tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
