HopToDesk MCP: manage remote computers from your AI app
HopToDesk's MCP server gives your AI app hands on the computers you manage: list devices, run fixes, take screenshots and add new devices. Running a fix on someone's machine is a real action, so through ContextGate you can switch that tool off, have a policy warn or block first, and review every call in Activity.

Connect HopToDesk to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect HopToDesk free and sign in with your HopToDesk account.
- 2Every tool is on after connecting. Listing devices and taking screenshots only look, while running fixes and adding devices change things; switch those two off unless you want your AI app doing them.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app to list your devices and take a screenshot of one, then open Activity to see both calls.

Guardrails for remote actions

- Activity records every device action, so you can see what ran and when.
What you get with HopToDesk and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use HopToDeskClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach HopToDesk through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any HopToDesk tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
