Shipbook MCP: read production logs where you debug

Shipbook MCP brings your app's production logs and Loglytics error insights into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, so you can chase a crash from the same window as the code. Shipbook collects logs from iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Web and Node.js apps. ContextGate connects Shipbook's own server to your AI app, and a policy can hide user details that turn up in log lines.

How to connect Shipbook to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Shipbook free and sign in with your Shipbook account.
  2. 2Shipbook's tools are listed once you connect, every one on. Keep the tools that read logs and Loglytics error insights, and switch off anything else on the list you don't want your AI app calling during an incident.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask Claude Code which errors Loglytics is flagging for your Android app, then open Activity to see the call it made.

Debugging with Shipbook from your AI app

  • Pull the production logs around a crash into Cursor or Claude Code while the failing code is open.
  • Ask which errors Loglytics is surfacing for an app and work through them one at a time.
  • Trace a bug reported on one platform, such as iOS or Flutter, back through its logs before you write a fix.
  • Compare what the logs show with what the code says should happen.

What ContextGate watches on Shipbook calls

  • Log lines can carry user emails or tokens; a workspace policy can hide personal data and block secrets in Shipbook calls.
  • Switch off any Shipbook tool you don't need; it's hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • Activity keeps each log query, so you can see what was pulled while an incident was open.

What you get with Shipbook and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use ShipbookClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Shipbook through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Shipbook tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
