ChatCut MCP: edit video from Claude or ChatGPT

Edit video from a chat: ChatCut's MCP server lets an AI agent cut footage, add captions and motion graphics, and export edits you can still change on ChatCut's multi-track timeline. ContextGate brings ChatCut into Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, keeps each edit request in Activity, and lets you switch off any ChatCut tool your team won't use.

  • Add captions to a clip.
  • Add motion graphics to a video.
  • Export an edit that stays editable, so you can refine it on ChatCut's timeline.

  • A policy can warn before an export, or block a secret pasted into an edit request.
  • Activity keeps a record of every edit request your AI apps send to ChatCut.
