Circleback MCP: search meeting notes and transcripts from an AI app

Search your Circleback meeting notes, transcripts and action items from your AI app, and use them in its answers. ContextGate connects Circleback's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and because meetings are full of names and numbers, a policy can hide personal data before it reaches the AI app. Every search is recorded.

Bring Circleback meetings into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Circleback free and sign in with your Circleback account.
  2. 2All Circleback tools are on after you connect. Transcripts hold more detail than notes, so if your AI app only needs summaries and action items, switch off the tools that read full transcripts.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app what action items came out of yesterday's customer call, then open Activity to see the Circleback search.

Meeting follow-up from a chat

  • Search across meeting notes for when a decision was made.
  • Pull the action items from a meeting into a task list.
  • Quote a transcript when you write a follow-up email.

Meetings carry sensitive detail

  • Switch off any Circleback tool you don't want AI apps using; it's hidden and refused if called.
  • Policies can hide names, emails and phone numbers in transcripts before an AI app sees them.
  • Activity records each search of your meetings.

ContextGate covers the Circleback calls that go through it; your AI app's own chats are not covered.

What you get with Circleback and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use CirclebackClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Circleback through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Circleback tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
