Context (ctxt.io) MCP: share expiring links from your AI agent

Context (ctxt.io) lets your AI agent share text, markdown, code or HTML as a link that expires on its own, read an existing ctxt.io link, and delete one it made. ContextGate connects the server to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor with no sign-in, and a policy can block secrets before your AI app puts them in a shareable link.

  • Ready to connect
  • Free
  • 3 example tools

Add Context (ctxt.io) to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Context (ctxt.io) free. There's no sign-in, so its tools are ready at once.
  2. 2`create_context` publishes content as a link, `read_context` fetches one, and `delete_context` removes one you made. Switch off `create_context` if nothing should leave your AI app as a link.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask Claude Code to share the diff it just wrote as a ctxt.io link, then open Activity to see the `create_context` call.

Share and read context between agents and people

  • Turn a report, table or code snippet into an auto-expiring link with `create_context`, as HTML when it needs styling.
  • Read what's behind a ctxt.io link someone sends you with `read_context`, including password-protected links when you have the password.
  • Delete a link you created with `delete_context` and the delete token it came with.

Watch what leaves as a link

  • A policy can block API keys and other secrets in content before `create_context` sends it to ctxt.io.
  • Switch off `create_context` to stop sharing entirely; it's hidden and refused if called.
  • Activity records every link created, read or deleted through ContextGate.

What you get with Context (ctxt.io) and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use Context (ctxt.io)Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Context (ctxt.io) through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Context (ctxt.io) tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
