OneUptime MCP: incidents and status pages from your AI app
Incidents, alerts, monitors, status pages, on-call and telemetry in your OneUptime project are all reachable through OneUptime's MCP server. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so you can ask about an outage from your editor, while a status-page update proposed by an AI app can be held back by a workspace policy before customers see it.

Wire OneUptime into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect OneUptime free and sign in with your OneUptime account.
- 2All of OneUptime's tools are on after connecting. A status page is what your customers read, so switch off the tools that change status pages or on-call if those changes should come from a person.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app which OneUptime incidents are open and who's on call, then open Activity to see the calls.
Incident work from Claude or Cursor
- List open incidents and alerts while you look at the code that might be behind them.
- Check which monitors are failing in a OneUptime project.
- See who's on call before you escalate.
- Look at a service's telemetry during an incident.
Guardrails for incident and status changes
- Switch off any OneUptime tool you don't want used; your AI app can't see or call it.
- Use a policy to warn or block before an incident or status page is changed.
- Activity keeps a record of each incident and monitor call, useful in a post-incident review.
What you get with OneUptime and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use OneUptimeClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach OneUptime through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any OneUptime tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
