Recharge Merchant MCP: store analytics in plain language

Recharge Merchant's MCP server gives your AI app read-only access to your Recharge store analytics: metrics, dimensions and governed queries asked in plain language. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor; a policy can hide personal data in what comes back, and Activity records each query your team runs.

Connect Recharge store analytics to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Recharge Merchant free and sign in with your Recharge account.
  2. 2The server is read-only, so its tools can't change your store. They're all on after you connect and listed then; switch off any you don't need.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app how one of your store metrics moved last month, then open Activity to see the query it ran.

Store questions to ask Claude or ChatGPT

  • Ask about your Recharge store's metrics in plain language instead of building a report.
  • Break a metric down by the dimensions Recharge provides.
  • Run governed queries against your store data from a chat.

Recharge describes this connector as part of its Recharge Analytics MCP early adopter program.

Store data and ContextGate

  • Switch off any Recharge Merchant tool; it's hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • A workspace policy can hide personal data before results reach your AI app.
  • Activity shows every analytics query your team's AI apps sent to Recharge.

What you get with Recharge Merchant and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use Recharge MerchantClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Recharge Merchant through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Recharge Merchant tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
