Taskade MCP: projects, tasks and AI agents from your AI app

Taskade's hosted MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor work with your Taskade projects, tasks and AI agents. Taskade also ships a local stdio package; ContextGate uses the hosted server, so you sign in once and every AI app reaches Taskade through one connection. Tools that change projects can be switched off, and each call is recorded.

Connect Taskade to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Taskade free and sign in with your Taskade account.
  2. 2Taskade's tools are all on at first. Decide whether your AI app should only read projects or also change them and work with your Taskade AI agents, and switch off what it shouldn't do.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to list the open tasks in your Taskade launch project, then open Activity to see the call.

Taskade work from your AI app

  • Review your Taskade projects and what's still open in each.
  • Add and update tasks from a chat or a coding session.
  • Work with the AI agents you've set up in Taskade.

Changes you can trace

  • Switch off the tools that change projects or tasks, and your AI app can no longer see or call them.
  • Activity records every Taskade call, so a task that changed can be traced to the call that changed it.

What you get with Taskade and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use TaskadeClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Taskade through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Taskade tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.

Taskade tools

Taskade's own MCP server shows its tools once you sign in. When you connect it, they are listed and synced in your workspace.
