Teletype MCP: your support conversations, readable by AI

Teletype gathers WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, Instagram, VK and other customer channels into one support panel. Its MCP server lets your AI app work with those support conversations, customers, messages and workspace settings. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor using your Teletype API token, and a policy can hide customers' personal data on the way through.

Plug Teletype's support inbox into your AI app

  1. 1Click Connect Teletype free and paste an API token from your Teletype account.
  2. 2Replies to customers are the thing to decide on. Every tool is on once connected; keep the ones that read conversations and customers, and switch off any tool that sends messages or changes workspace settings if a person should answer customers.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to summarize the latest Teletype conversations with one customer, then open Activity to see the calls behind the summary.

Support tasks to hand your AI app

  • Catch up on a customer's conversations across WhatsApp, Telegram and other channels before you reply.
  • Look up a customer and their message history in Teletype from Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Pull recent messages into a chat and draft a reply for a person to review.
  • Check your Teletype workspace settings without opening the panel.

Guarding customer conversations

  • Switch off any tool that sends messages and your AI app can read but not reply; calls to it are refused.
  • Support chats are full of phone numbers and names. A policy can hide that personal data on every Teletype call.
  • Activity keeps a record of each call, so you can see which conversations an AI app opened.

What you get with Teletype and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use TeletypeClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Teletype through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Teletype tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
