UnoRouter MCP: search, price and query 200+ AI models
UnoRouter puts 200+ AI models behind one OpenAI-compatible key, most of them free. Its MCP server lets your AI app search that catalog, look up per-token pricing and send a prompt to any model for a second opinion. It's public, and ContextGate connects its three tools to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor with a policy check on every prompt.

Plug UnoRouter's model catalog into your AI app
- 1Click Connect UnoRouter free. There's no sign-in, so its tools are ready at once.
- 2All three tools are on. `search_models` and `get_pricing` only read the catalog, while `chat` sends your prompt to another model; switch off `chat` if prompts shouldn't go to third-party models.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app which free models UnoRouter lists and what a paid one costs per million tokens, then open Activity to see the calls.
Model shopping from your AI app
- Search the live catalog of 200+ models with `search_models`; model IDs ending in :free cost nothing.
- Look up USD list prices per million tokens with `get_pricing`.
- Send one prompt to another model with `chat` and compare its answer with your AI app's own.
Prompts that leave, checked
- Workspace policies check every `chat` call, so a secret pasted into a prompt can be blocked before another model sees it.
- Switch off `chat` and your AI app can browse models and prices but not send prompts.
- Activity records each prompt sent through UnoRouter.
What you get with UnoRouter and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use UnoRouterClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach UnoRouter through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any UnoRouter tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
