Viddler MCP: who watched, and who can, from your AI app
Viddler's official MCP server answers who watched a video, with proof-of-viewing analytics, and handles video admin from a chat: list videos, manage access control, add a password, share a private link or import a video. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and a policy can hide viewers' personal data in what comes back.

Connect Viddler to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect Viddler free and sign in with your Viddler account.
- 2Access control decides who can watch. Every tool starts on, so if only an admin should change that, switch off the access-control and private-link tools and keep video lists and viewing analytics.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app who has watched a training video this week, then open Activity to see the analytics call.
Video admin and viewing proof
- List your Viddler videos and find the one you need.
- Pull proof-of-viewing analytics to confirm who watched a video.
- Add a password or change access control on a video.
- Share a private link or import a new video.
Access changes, controlled
- Switch off access-control tools and your AI app can report on viewing but not change who can watch.
- Viewing analytics name people; a policy can hide that personal data.
- Activity records each access change and analytics request.
What you get with Viddler and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use ViddlerClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Viddler through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Viddler tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
Viddler tools
Viddler's own MCP server shows its tools once you sign in. When you connect it, they are listed and synced in your workspace.
