Visor MCP: US car listings and VIN lookups in your AI app

Ask your AI app what a particular car is listed for across US dealer sites. The Visor MCP server searches dealer vehicle listings, returns price stats, looks up a VIN and pulls up dealer profiles. ContextGate connects Visor's own server to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and every listing search and VIN lookup lands in Activity, so you can see which cars your team priced.

Connect Visor to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor in four steps

  1. 1Click Connect Visor free and sign in with your Visor account.
  2. 2Visor's server is built around listing searches, price stats, VIN lookups and dealer profiles, and every tool is on once you connect. The full list appears then: keep the lookups your team uses and switch off the rest.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Paste a VIN into your AI app and ask what Visor knows about that vehicle, then open Activity to see the lookup.

Car pricing research from Claude or ChatGPT

  • Search vehicle listings from US dealer sites by describing the car you're after.
  • Get price stats for a make and model to judge whether a listing is priced high or low.
  • Run a VIN lookup on a car before you call the dealer.
  • Pull up a dealer's profile to see who is selling the car.

Visor lookups you can see and stop

  • Switch off any Visor tool you don't need, such as dealer profiles; your AI app stops seeing it and calls to it are refused.
  • Policies check every call, so a customer's name or phone number pasted into a search can be hidden before it reaches Visor.
  • Activity records each search and VIN lookup, so pricing work done through an AI app can be checked later.

What you get with Visor and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use VisorClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Visor through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Visor tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
