Webflow MCP: CMS, pages and store orders from your AI app

Webflow MCP lets your AI app add and update CMS collection items, list pages and form submissions, manage store orders and inventory, and publish a site. ContextGate connects Webflow to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor through Webflow's own MCP server or an API-key app connector, so you can switch off publishing and refunds while content edits carry on.

Add Webflow to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Webflow free and sign in with your Webflow account.
  2. 2Nothing is switched off when you first connect. Publishing a site makes all staged changes live, and a refund reverses the Stripe charge, so switch off those two unless you want an AI app doing either without you.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to add a new item to your blog collection in Webflow, then open Activity to see the create call.

Webflow site and store work from a chat

  • Create, update or remove items in a CMS collection, with the name, slug and field data you give.
  • List a site's static and CMS pages, or read its form submissions.
  • Look up orders, update fulfillment details or mark an order fulfilled.
  • Check and update inventory levels for a product SKU.
  • Upload images and other files to a site's assets.

Hold publishing and refunds back

  • Switch off the publish and refund tools so they drop out of your AI app's tool list, and a call to either is refused.
  • Policies check every call, so customer details from orders and form submissions can be hidden from the AI app.
  • Activity keeps a record of every Webflow call, from CMS edits to order updates.

What you get with Webflow and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use WebflowClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Webflow through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Webflow tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
