GTmetrix MCP: page speed reports in your AI app
Run a GTmetrix test from your AI app and find out why a page is slow and what to fix. GTmetrix's MCP server reads your reports, monitored pages and test history, and starts new tests from the location and browser you choose. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor and lets you switch off report and page deletion while keeping testing.

Bring GTmetrix into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect GTmetrix free and sign in with your GTmetrix account.
- 2Tests draw on your GTmetrix API credits, and deleting a page or report removes its history. Keep the reading tools, switch off the delete tools, and switch off starting and re-running tests too if you want to manage credits yourself.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app to test your homepage from a location near your users and explain the slowest parts, then open Activity to see the test call.
Performance work from Claude or Cursor
- Start a test for any URL with your choice of location, browser and simulated device.
- Pull a report's metrics and timing data and ask what's holding the page back.
- Look back through the report history of a monitored page.
- Re-run a finished test with the same settings after you ship a fix.
- Check your remaining API credits and refill schedule before a batch of tests.
Protect test history and credits
- Switch off page and report deletion; the tools are hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
- Use a policy to warn before your AI app starts a test or retest.
- Activity keeps a record of every test your AI apps start.
