Netlify MCP: bring your Netlify account into your AI app
Netlify is where many teams build and ship their sites, and Netlify's own MCP server brings that platform into your AI app. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor with a Netlify sign-in. The full tool list appears after you sign in, and you can switch off anything you don't want an AI app running against your Netlify sites.

How to add Netlify to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect Netlify free and sign in with your Netlify account.
- 2Netlify's tool list shows up after you sign in, with every tool on. Read it before your team starts using it, and switch off anything that changes your sites if you only want your AI app to look.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app to list what it can see in your Netlify account, then open Activity to see which calls it made.
Netlify from the tools you build with
- Work with your Netlify account from the AI app you already build in, whether that's Cursor, Claude Code or ChatGPT.
- Use one ContextGate connection for Netlify and every other app your workspace has connected.
- See the full set of Netlify tools in ContextGate as soon as you sign in.
Control what reaches your Netlify sites
- Switch off any Netlify tool you don't want in use; it's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Workspace policies check every Netlify call, for example blocking a secret pasted into a request.
- Activity records each call, so you can see what an AI app did in Netlify and when.
ContextGate sees only the calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or chats.
