Runable MCP: hand off agent tasks from your AI app

Runable's MCP server lets your AI app hand tasks to Runable's agent, track their progress, retrieve files and search your meeting notes. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so you decide whether an AI app can start tasks or only check on them, and each call is recorded in Activity.

  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app to search your Runable meeting notes for what was agreed about a launch, then open Activity to see the call.

Work you can hand to Runable from Claude or ChatGPT

  • Start an agent task in Runable from a chat.
  • Track how a running task is progressing.
  • Retrieve files from Runable once a task is done.
  • Search your meeting notes for a decision or action item.

Oversight for agent tasks

  • Switch off the task-starting tools; they're hidden and refused if called.
  • Policies check every call, so personal data in meeting notes can be hidden before it reaches your AI app.
  • Activity records every Runable call, so you can see what was started and when.

What you get with Runable and ContextGate

  • Your AI apps can use RunableClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Runable through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
  • You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Runable tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
  • Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.

ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
