Scandit MCP: trial keys and SDK setup from your AI app
Scandit's MCP server helps your AI app create a Scandit account, get trial license keys and set up the Scandit SDK in your app, so barcode or ID scanning can be added from Claude Code or Cursor. ContextGate connects it to those apps and to Claude and ChatGPT, and Activity records each step of the setup.

- 4Ask your AI app to add the Scandit SDK to your app for barcode scanning, then open Activity to see the calls.
Scanning setup from Claude Code or Cursor
- Create a Scandit account without leaving your editor.
- Get a trial license key for the Scandit SDK.
- Set up the SDK in your app with your AI app's help, for barcode scanning, ID scanning or shelf intelligence.
Keys and setup on the record
- Switch off any Scandit tool; it's hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
- Policies check each call, so a production secret from your codebase can be blocked before it's sent to Scandit.
- Activity records every call, including each trial key request.
What you get with Scandit and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use ScanditClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Scandit through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Scandit tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
