Anima MCP: design-aware code from Figma and your design system
Anima's own MCP server connects AI coding agents to Anima Playground, your Figma files and your design system, so the code your agent writes follows the design. ContextGate brings it into Cursor, Claude Code, Claude and ChatGPT, and records each design file your agent reads.

Wire Anima into Cursor or Claude Code
- 1Click Connect Anima free and sign in with your Anima account.
- 2The full tool list appears when you connect, with every tool on. Keep the tools that read your Figma files and design system, and switch off any you don't want your coding agent to use.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask Cursor to build a component from a Figma frame using Anima, then open Activity to see the calls.
Design-to-code work with Anima
- Give your coding agent access to your Figma files and design system.
- Work in Anima Playground from Cursor or Claude Code.
- Turn a Figma design into app code that uses your design system.
Oversight for your design files
- Switch off any Anima tool and it's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Activity records each Anima call your coding agents make.
- Policies check every call, for example to block an API key that ended up in a prompt.
What you get with Anima and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use AnimaClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Anima through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Anima tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
Anima tools
Anima's own MCP server shows its tools once you sign in. When you connect it, they are listed and synced in your workspace.
