Propecto MCP: company, tender and grant lookups in your AI app

Propecto's MCP server answers questions about European companies from public data: company records, directors, filed accounts, public procurement, grants and trademarks, all read-only. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor with no sign-in, and keeps a record of each company lookup so you can see what your AI app asked.

Add Propecto's company data to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

  1. 1Click Connect Propecto free. There's no sign-in, so its tools are ready at once.
  2. 2All 13 tools are read-only lookups, so there's little to switch off. You might switch off `propecto_analyser_statistiques`, which writes its summaries in French, or `propecto_quota` if nobody needs to check the API key's daily usage.
  3. 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
  4. 4Ask your AI app which public contracts a French company has won, then open Activity to see the `propecto_marches_remportes` call.

Company research with Propecto from Claude or ChatGPT

  • Find a company by the start of its name or by an ID such as a SIREN, a Belgian BCE number or an EU VAT number with `propecto_rechercher_societes`.
  • Read a French company's latest filed annual accounts with `propecto_finances`, and compare its ratios with others in its sector using `propecto_positionnement`.
  • Search public procurement notices, such as tenders and awards from BOAMP, with `propecto_rechercher_marches`, or list the companies that have won contracts from a given public buyer.
  • Look up active public grants for businesses, and search registered trademarks by name, holder or filing number.

Propecto's server has 13 tools; these are some of them. All of them appear in ContextGate as soon as you add the connection.

Keep Propecto lookups on the record

  • Switch off any Propecto tool you don't need, and it's hidden from your AI app and refused if called.
  • Propecto returns directors' names along with company records; a workspace policy that hides personal data applies to these calls too.
  • Activity records every Propecto call, from company searches to tender lookups.
