Tolstoy MCP: create content from your approved media
Tolstoy's MCP server opens your Tolstoy workspace to your AI app: products, the media library, uploads, models, templates and projects. Create content from your approved Tolstoy media without leaving Claude or ChatGPT. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, so you choose which workspace tools stay on and every upload shows up in Activity.

- 4Ask your AI app which templates and media in Tolstoy fit a new product launch, then open Activity to see the calls.

- Match products with the right templates and projects.
- Upload new media to the library from a chat.
Who added what to Tolstoy
- Switch off upload or project tools and your AI app can't see or call them.
- Activity keeps a record of every upload and change made through an AI app.
What you get with Tolstoy and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use TolstoyClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Tolstoy through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Tolstoy tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
