Official Porkbun MCP server: domains and DNS from your AI app
Porkbun's official MCP server registers domains, manages DNS and SSL, provisions hosting and connects Cloudflare through the Porkbun API, with dry runs and spend limits. ContextGate connects it to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor and adds its own layer on top: switch off domain registration, or have a policy warn before a DNS record changes.

Manage Porkbun domains from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
- 1Click Connect Porkbun free and sign in with your Porkbun account.
- 2Every tool is on after connecting. Registering a domain costs money and a bad DNS change can take a site offline, so switch off registration and DNS-editing tools if your AI app should only look at records.
- 3Add ContextGate to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. The steps for each app are on the Works with page.
- 4Ask your AI app to list the DNS records on one of your Porkbun domains, then open Activity to see the call.
Domain work from Claude or Cursor
- Register a domain, with a dry run first to see what would happen.
- Add or change DNS records while you set up a service.
- Manage SSL for a domain.
- Provision hosting or connect a domain to Cloudflare.
Domain changes with a second check
- Switch off registration and DNS tools; your AI app can't see or call them.
- A policy can warn or block before a DNS change goes through.
- Activity keeps a record of every registration, DNS and SSL call.
What you get with Porkbun and ContextGate
- Your AI apps can use PorkbunClaude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI apps reach Porkbun through the one ContextGate connection you add to them.
- You choose which tools they can useSwitch off any Porkbun tool you don't want used. It's hidden from your AI apps and refused if called.
- Every call is checked and recordedYour policies check each call (for example, personal data is hidden and secrets are blocked), and Activity keeps a record of it.
ContextGate sees only the tool calls that go through it, not your AI app's built-in tools or your chats.
